Dearli is a product of Shaman Ventures, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). Dearli is a social connection app that helps you stay in touch with the people you care about. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
When you create an account, we collect your phone number, email address (if provided), name, and profile information you choose to provide. Your phone number is used as your primary account identifier and for SMS verification.
With your permission, we access your device contacts to help you find friends on Dearli and build your connection network. We store contact names and phone numbers to match users. You can revoke contact access at any time in your device settings.
With your permission, we use your location to suggest nearby venues and activities. Location data is used in real-time for venue recommendations and is not stored persistently on our servers.
With your permission, we access your photo library so you can upload profile images for crews and share photos in spark conversations. Photos you upload are stored securely in our cloud storage.
You may optionally connect your Google Calendar to Dearli. When connected, we access the following data from your Google account:
We also write events to your Google Calendar when you confirm a spark (social plan) in Dearli, so your plans appear on your calendar. You can delete Dearli-created events at any time, both within Dearli and directly in Google Calendar.
How calendar data is used: Calendar event data is fetched in real-time when you or your AI agent check availability. We do not store your calendar events in our database. We store only your OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token) securely to maintain your connection. Tokens are encrypted in transit via TLS and stored in our database with restricted access.
Disconnecting: You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the app settings. When you disconnect, we immediately revoke your OAuth tokens and delete them from our database. No calendar data is retained after disconnection.
Google API Services User Data Policy: Dearli's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
We collect information about how you use the app, including interactions logged, sparks created, and availability preferences. This data powers features like social health scores and connection streaks.
We use the following third-party services to operate Dearli:
These services process data as necessary to provide their functionality. We do not sell your data to any third party.
Dearli uses SMS text messages for account verification and authentication. By providing your phone number and tapping "Send code" on the login screen, you expressly consent to receive SMS messages from Dearli at the phone number you provide.
We send one-time verification codes (OTP) via SMS to authenticate your identity when you sign in or create an account. These are transactional messages required for account security.
You will receive SMS messages only when you initiate a sign-in or account verification. Message frequency varies based on your login activity. Typically, you will receive 1 message per sign-in attempt. We do not send marketing or promotional messages via SMS.
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS verification codes. Note that opting out of SMS may prevent you from signing in via phone number. You can still use Apple Sign-In or email as alternative authentication methods.
For help with SMS messages, reply HELP to any message you receive from us, or contact us at hello@dearli.so.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Dearli does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may apply standard messaging fees.
Your phone number is used solely for account verification and identity matching within the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the purpose of delivering verification codes.
With your permission, we send push notifications for spark invitations, agent suggestions, and social reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Interaction history and social health data are kept to provide ongoing insights. When you delete your account, it enters a 7-day grace period during which you can cancel and restore it. After 7 days, your account and personal data are permanently deleted from our systems and your Google OAuth tokens (if any) are revoked — except for limited records we must retain for legal, security, or anti-abuse reasons, such as anonymized safety reports and SMS opt-out records.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@dearli.so.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with secure token management.
Dearli is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Dearli after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
